Community Guidelines For Authors / Editors / Admins

Welcome to the ICS/OT Cybersecurity Professional's Community! We're a nonprofit community that loves helping people learn about Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity. Anyone can join our community as subscriber or member for free but to become author or editor or admin is for invited experts only, who would like to spend a little time to share their knowledge, work together, grow and help other to grow, we call them "Contributors". These guidelines keep our space friendly, real, and helpful. Everyone who writes our content, tutorials, tools  as a Author / Editor / Admin must follow these rules.

1. Joining and Being Part of Our Community

A. Invite-Only Authors / Editors
Only hand pick, verified people we invite, who can join as contributor, random people are not allowed to join. We carefully pick experts with minimum 10 years of real world relevant experienced individuals and eager to share their knowledge about ICS/OT cybersecurity. Our team decides who gets invited.
B. Stay Active
Contributors should share something useful (like an article, tip, tools or post) at least once a year. If they don’t post for 12 months, account might be paused, and they’ll be only be able to read, not post, until we reactivate it.
C. Be Kind:
All Contributors must treat everyone, whether newbies and pros with respect and friendliness. No bullying or unfair treatment based on race, religion, gender, country, color, or anything else.
D. Agree to Rules:
Anyone who become Author / Editors / Admins whom we call as "Contributor" in this platform must follow these guidelines.

2. Creating Content

A. Original Stuff:
Everything a contributor share, must be original, domain relavent and not break any copyright or intellectual property rules. If something goes wrong with their content, they’re responsible. We may take appropriate action against them and help the claiming the party to resolve the issue.
B. Must Use Own Words:
Write own content. Don’t copy word by word from books, articles, or videos. Copying will get your post removed and might pause your account.

C. Sharing Others’ Work:
Only share someone else’s work if they say it’s okay, and always give them credit. If you don’t have permission, your post will be removed.

D. Using Generative AI :
You can use AI tools to fix grammar or make things clearer, but don’t let AI write your whole post. Your ideas and expertise must shine through.

E. New Ideas:
Don’t write about topics we already covered. Instead, team up with the original author to add your thoughts or co-write something new.

3. Quality Matters Over Quantity

We are not here to compete with anyone neither we are here to make money, so we believe in sharing quality rather than quantity.

A. Focus on Quality:
We’d rather have a few awesome posts than lots of okay ones. Your content should come from real experience or deep research.

B. Content Check:
Our team consists of Ethical Hackers & OSINT Experts, who might review your posts to make sure they’re original accurate and follow our rules.

4. Promoting and Supporting

A. Share Your Courses:
If you teach ICS/OT Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity, or Network Security on places like Udemy, you can promote your courses here as a contributor, but selling course should NOT be the reason for writing article, each article address some problem, inform something useful about the domain we promote, we expect to be reasonable.
B. Nonprofit Mission:
We don’t make money neither we pay anyone, we are paying all expenses from our pocket but in the future, we want to build training centers in places like India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and more to help local workers learn and get hand-on lab experience. So sponsors are welcome to help us.

5. Reporting Problems

A. Let Us Know:
If someone breaks these rules, tell us privately at sec[dot]asmz[@]gmail[dot]com or message us on LinkedIn: ICS/OT Cybersecurity Professional's Community.
B. Author Responsibility:
If an author messes up, they’re responsible. We’ll work with any investigations, but the community won’t be punished for one person’s error.

6. Fairness and Rights

A. Equal Treatment:
We treat everyone the same, no matter your race, religion, gender, or anything else. We want a welcoming place for everyone.
B. Author Perks:
As an invited author, you can share content that follows our rules. The more you contribute, the more perks you get, like joining special discussions or mentoring others.
C. Account Pause:
If you don’t post at least once a year, your account might be paused, and you can only read, not post. Contact us to get back in.

7. Our Big Goals

A. Sharing Knowledge:
We want pros to share cool ideas, solve tough problems, and help new folks learn.
B. Easy Learning:
