Community Guidelines for Members
Welcome to the ICS/OT Cybersecurity Professional's Community! We’re a nonprofit group dedicated to Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity. Our community is a friendly space for members to learn, share, and grow together. These guidelines are for all members to ensure our platform stays respectful, high-quality, and welcoming. By joining or using our content, you agree to follow these rules.
1. Membership and Participation
- Free Membership: Joining is 100% free, and no qualifications are needed to become a member / subscriber. Anyone interested in ICS/OT cybersecurity, cybersecurity, or network security is welcome.
- Stay Active: We encourage members to engage by joining discussions, asking questions if they have any but they should be domain related.
- Be Respectful: Treat all members new and experienced with kindness and respect. No bullying, harassment, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or any other characteristic is allowed.
- Follow the Rules: All members must agree to these guidelines to access our content, tutorials, or participate in the community.
2. Content Usage
- No Copying Without Permission: You must not copy or republish content from our platform (articles, tutorials, or posts) without explicit permission from the original author or our team. This includes content from other members or external sources on the platfom.
- Linking and Excerpts: You may link to our content or use short excerpts (e.g., a few sentences) in your own articles, as long as you:
- Give proper credit to the original author and our community.
- Do not republish the full content.
- Include a link back to the original source on our website (https://icscyberpro.net/).
3. Accessing Content
- Free Content: Most of our content, like articles and tutorials, is free for all members and the public. You just need to agree to these guidelines.
- Members-Only Content: Sensitive topics, like ethical hacking or advanced ICS/OT techniques, are only for verified members. To access these:
- Provide a valid email address on our website (https://icscyberpro.net/).
- System will verify your email, track your ip & location. No payment or credit card required, just a quick check to keep sensitive content secure.
4. Publishing as an Author
- Author Privileges: Only verified domain experts in ICS/OT cybersecurity, cybersecurity, or network security can publish articles. To become an author:
- Fill out our Google Form to share your expertise and ideas.
- Our team will verify your background (e.g., work experience or certifications)
5. Our Nonprofit Mission
- No Money Involved: We don’t charge members or authors, and we don’t pay for contributions. Our goal is to share knowledge, not make profit.
- Future Plans: We aim to build training centers in places like India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and more to train local workers. Sponsors are welcome to support this.
- Accessible Learning: We’re committed to offering free or low-cost training
5. Reporting Issues
- Report Problems Privately: If you see someone breaking these rules (e.g., copying content, being disrespectful), let us know privately at sec[dot]asmz[@]gmail[dot]com or via LinkedIn.
